Here's a quick update on my Dark Angels commander. I've finished the body, and now it's time for his backpack.
So I did my usual start for red with Mechrite Red followed by Red Gore. Then washed with Baal Red. I followed that up with a dry brush of Blood Red and Fiery Orange. Lastly I did another Baal Red wash. This gave me a very dark red and I think it looks very good.
Here is the back. I've got to say I would have expected a bit more ornate back pack. So what I did is to paint the rings around the exhaust gold. Maybe that will bling him up a bit.
