As I said in my last post, I can't believe I hadn't already posted the completed pics of this guy. He has been done for a while now. So I figured I'd better get off my duff and get to it. So here we go.

Hobby: How to keep your Dread from Falling Down on the Job

Thought I'd put a little tutorial together for today. A very basic one, but I was looking for something to post.

One of the most vulnerable joints on the Dreadnought is the ankle joint. I have dropped a plastic and (shudder) metal dread and they always break along the ankle. I've even had someone knock over a metal dread on the table top and break the ankle, so I'm going to set my Grey Knights Dreads up right!

Grey Knights Librarian: WiP 1

It has been way to long in coming, but I have finally started work on my Grey Knights army. I figured I would do a test model, and I don't usually do thing half way, so I decided to do the Librarian. This guy got a spray of Boltgun Metal from my airbrush, and then a healthy slathering of Asurmen Blue.

Finally, after a long friggin' time, I have started some serious work on my Grey Knights army. I bought these guys way back when, and now I have finally done some substantial work on them and have some pics to prove it.

This afternoon I broke out the air brush and sprayed some Boltgun Metal.

So as I said a while back, I bought some bases from a place called Fantascape. I am planning to use these for my Grey Knights army. With the Christmas slow down, I haven't done too much with them yet, but I am trying to get back on a regular posting schedule, so this is what you get for today.

So with my new Grey Knights army, I have decided I have such a low model count, I was going to splurge and buy resin bases for the whole army. I wasn't sure what I wanted until I heard about Fantascape on the Screaming Heretic Podcast.

What I decided to go with was the Gothic Ruins. Now one of the reasons I really like these bases is because the prices on the website include tax and shipping, so even though I am buying from overseas, I don't have to worry about outrageous shipping prices.

Did I Mention I Like Dreadnoughts?

I am totally going to use my love of Dreads as an excuse for being a cheesy bastard. I am planning to run three Grey Knights Dreadnoughts. 

So I bought one of the Forge World Grey Knights dread, and then bought the body for a second dread. Then I bought a Venerable Dreadnought because I thought I could make him look like a Grey Knight dread without too much trouble.

So I have been getting bored with my Space Wolves lately. I'm not bored of playing them (althought I am tired of hearing how overpowered they are) but just painting them. I really haven't painted anything for them since December. Recently I bought the Forge World Space Wolf Dreadnaught and I haven't even finished putting it together yet. I just feel, "meh" about putting them together and painting them.
